On July 4, the Hanoi Department of Construction announced the adjustment of traffic organization for vehicles on Vo Chi Cong Street (which has just had a median strip installed) to ensure traffic safety and overcome traffic congestion in the city.
Scope of lane division:
On Vo Chi Cong Street, it starts from the front of Lane 80 Vo Chi Cong to the front of the road leading to Nhat Tan Bridge and vice versa. Lanes: L = 4,000 m/day.
Laning plan:
- 3 lanes outside the median strip: Organize traffic exclusively for automobiles.
- The remaining 2 lanes on the sidewalk: Organize traffic for mixed-use vehicles (including buses).
- The lanes reserved for cars will be separated from the mixed lanes by a median strip.
Traffic organization plan at the intersections on Vo Chi Cong Street (intersection with Xuan La Street and Nguyen Hoang Ton Street):
- 4 lanes outside the median strip: Vehicles are only allowed to go straight and turn left according to the instructions of the traffic light system (vehicles are prohibited from turning right).
- 2 mixed lanes on the sidewalk: Mixed lane.
+ Motorbikes and bicycles: Follow the instructions of the traffic light system and signs, paint.
+ Vehicles (except buses): Only allowed to turn right.
Traffic organization plan at border clearance strip opening points:
- For vehicles in lane specifically for cars:
+ Vehicles that need to go straight or turn left: Continue to go straight and change direction at the button.
+ Vehicles that need to turn right: Change direction to the mixed lane and turn right at the button.
- For vehicles in the mixed lane:
+ Vehicles that need to go straight or turn left should switch to the lane reserved for cars.
+ Buses, motorbikes, bicycles: Go in the following directions according to the instructions of traffic lights and signs, paint the lines.
Traffic organization plan at the median strip opening point (for alley 182 Vo Chi Cong): Organize exclusively for vehicles turning around.
