The admission score is the total score of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and priority and encouragement scores (if any).
According to the announcement of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Kim Lien High School and Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong have the highest benchmark score with 25.5 points.
With this year's admission formula, on average, candidates need to achieve 8.5 points or more to be admitted.
In second place are Viet Duc High School and Phan Dinh Phung High School with 25.25. On average, candidates need to achieve 8.41 points or more to pass these two schools.
Ranked in the next positions are Nguyen Gia Thieu High School; Yen Hoa High School (25 points); Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (24.75 points); Thang Long High School (24.25 points); Cau Giay High School (23.75 points); Xuan Dinh High School (23.5 points).
The above group of schools all have benchmark scores for grade 10 and have been among the top in Hanoi for many years, but the rankings have changed.
For example, in 2024, Yen Hoa High School was in the leading position, but this year, it dropped to the top 3. Kim Lien High School had a benchmark score in the top 3 last year, but this year it took the lead.
Notably, Xuan Dinh High School; Cau Giay High School are "new factors" in the ranking of public high schools with the highest benchmark scores in Hanoi this year. Details of the 10 public high schools with the highest benchmark scores in Hanoi in the 2025 - 2026 school year are as follows:

Immediately after getting points, any candidate who is wondering about the scores of the subjects can submit an application for re-evaluation to re-score.
On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional admission scores to public grade 10 (if any).
From July 19 to July 22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).
