A representative of the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board (Hanoi Department of Construction) said that to control the vehicle load on the road system in the city, the unit has proposed that the Department of Construction submit to the Hanoi People's Committee for approval the policy of spending more than 264 billion VND from the city budget to install 4 automatic electronic weighing stations.
According to the submission to the Department of Construction for appraisal and approval of construction drawing design and estimates, this is a level IV traffic project, invested by the Department of Construction, the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board is the investor's representative. The project has a total investment of more than 264 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2025 - 2026.
The project includes the construction and installation of 4 automatic load control weighing stations at the following locations: The area north of the Thang Long bridgehead and branches up and down the bridge approach road (East Anh); Nguyen Khoi - Linh Nam intersection (Hoang Mai district); Km 41+00, National Highway; Km 4: 50+800, National Highway 21 (old Son Tay town area).
The load control system includes: weaving, surveillance cameras, data processing and automatic license plate recognition software, storage servers, along with power supply systems, data transmission, lightning protection, and signs, operating technical cabinets.
According to the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board, the unit is reviewing the unit price code and norms to make detailed estimates for each item, ensuring investment efficiency, cost savings and market price compliance.
In addition, the Maintenance Board will coordinate to study solutions for organizing safe traffic at the installation locations; conduct traffic safety inspection and appraisal according to regulations. At the same time, the unit is developing a reasonable construction plan, ensuring labor safety, traffic safety, limiting the impact on people's lives; at the same time, surveying and evaluating the quality of the existing road surface to choose suitable structural solutions and road surface connection.
