Component project 2.1 invests in the construction of a parallel road system (urban road) of Ring Road 4 through Hanoi with a total length of about 58.2km.
The route passes through the wards and communes: Kim Anh, Noi Bai, Me Linh, Quang Minh, Tien Thang, O Dien, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Duong Hoa, Son Dong, An Khanh, Yen Nghia, Phu Luong, Binh Minh, Tam Hung, Thuong Tin, Hong Van.
Package No. 8 to build a parallel road of Ring Road 4 is about 23km long, passing through the communes of Kim Anh, Noi Bai, Me Linh, Quang Minh, Tien Thang. The consortium of Truong Son Construction Corporation - Thinh Vuong TVT Joint Stock Company - Thai Yen Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company is in charge of the construction of this package.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Do Ngoc Sam - Commander of package 8, Truong Son Construction Corporation - said that after more than 2 years of construction, package 8 has now reached about 83% of the volume, meeting the set progress.
Package 8 also undertakes the construction of 3 bridges on the route, including: Ca Lo River overpass, Hanoi - Lao Cai railway overpass and Hau village bridge.
Of these, the railway overpass is the largest project with a length of nearly 590m, including 27 spans; the width of the bridge deck is 15m on each side.
"Up to now, the bridge has been closed. Next week, the contractor will install the bridge railing, deploy asphalt paving on the bridge deck and complete the expansion joints on the bridge" - Mr. Sam said.
For the road item, the sections of the route under package No. 8 have basically been paved with asphalt. With some new sections receiving site handover, the contractor is speeding up construction, and it is expected that the asphalt layer will be completed in about a month.
Regarding site clearance, Commander Do Ngoc Sam said that there is still a part of the area related to 2 farms on the left dike of the Red River (Tien Thang commune) that has not been handed over to the contractor. In addition, there are some points where underground and above-ground infrastructure is still stuck that have not been relocated by the units.
"We request that the locality promptly hand over the remaining site so that the contractor can construct synchronously throughout the project, ensuring the completion progress in 2025 according to the city's direction" - Mr. Sam said.
