Hanoi adjusts traffic on Thang Long Avenue for 45 days to repair the tensile joint of Dan Hoai bridge and pave the right highway surface.

Hanoi Department of Construction will adjust the temporary traffic organization on Thang Long Avenue to serve the construction and repair of the Dan Hoai bridge expansion joint and paving the right expressway section Km10+150 - Km12+500.

According to Notice No. 1315/TB-SXD signed by Mr. Tran Huu Bao - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Construction, the traffic adjustment is carried out in the Dan Hoai bridge area (Km11+189), belonging to An Khanh and Son Dong communes, Hanoi City.

The construction scope includes the right expressway, left expressway, right service road and left service road of Thang Long Avenue. The expressway surface paving item must be implemented on the section from Km10+150 to Km12+500.

The implementation time is from 0:00 on September 4th to the end of October 19, 2026, lasting 45 consecutive days.

According to the approved plan, the barricading and construction are implemented sequentially in stages, each half of the road cross-section. It is only allowed to be transferred to the next construction area after completion, collection of materials and equipment, restoration of the road surface and ensuring traffic safety in the constructed area.

The Department of Construction requests not to simultaneously barricade and narrow the traffic lanes at opposite locations or on many adjacent cross-sections if it causes traffic flow conflicts, reduces traffic flow, causes congestion or traffic unsafety.

Phase 1, the contractor constructs and repairs the expansion joint of Dan Hoai bridge on the right expressway and the left service road, and at the same time paves the surface of the right expressway section Km10+150 - Km12+500 in half sections.

Vehicles will temporarily not be allowed to enter the barrier area on the right expressway and the left service road in the direction of Lang - Hoa Lac. Vehicles are allowed to circulate on the remaining road, perform lane-shifting, limit speed and comply with the traffic signs, barriers, and directions at the scene.

Phase 2, the repair of the expansion joint is carried out on the left expressway and the right service road in half sections. Vehicles will temporarily not enter the barrier area in the direction of Hoa Lac - Lang, and will be guided to circulate on the remaining road.

The Department of Construction requests contractors to arrange full barriers, signs, warning lights, night lights and remote signals in both directions. Traffic guidance and guard forces must be arranged at necessary locations to maintain safe and smooth traffic.

During construction, contractors are not allowed to gather materials and equipment outside the permitted scope; they must regularly check the signal system and barriers. When heavy rain occurs, visibility is limited, congestion, accidents or incidents occur, contractors must proactively suspend construction if necessary and coordinate handling.

The Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police is requested to coordinate in regulating, diverting traffic and handling traffic congestion and unsafety situations. People's Committees of An Khanh and Son Dong communes are responsible for informing and propagating so that people can proactively choose routes.

The Department of Construction also requests the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board and contractors to be responsible for ensuring safety throughout the construction process. In case an accident occurs due to failure to ensure safety, relevant units must be responsible according to regulations.
