On the morning of March 14, the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center coordinated with bus and train operating service providers in the area to organize a launching ceremony for the movement "Civilized public passenger transport - for passenger service".
This is considered a step to improve service quality, build a public transport culture and attract people in the Capital to use buses and trains.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Thai Ho Phuong - Director of the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center - said that civilization and safety in the operation of buses and trains are important factors, determining the sustainable development of public passenger transport.
According to Mr. Thai Ho Phuong, in the past time, the service quality on buses and trains has been clearly improved, but has not yet met expectations. Improving service quality is the common responsibility of state management agencies and service providers.
In the coming time, the center will include service quality assessment criteria in the bidding documents for public passenger transport services, thereby coordinating with businesses to improve quality and build a civilized service environment on public transport.
Hanoi City will also accompany transport units in building a culture of behavior on public transport, aiming to attract people to use public transport, gradually forming a civilized and modern capital transport system.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh - staff serving the E10 bus route, each trip is not simply a journey but also a place to connect passengers and public transport service providers.
When each driver and service staff always maintain a dedicated spirit in their daily work, buses will become friendly companions of the people of the Capital as well as tourists" - Ms. Anh shared.
Transport businesses also affirmed that they will continue to accompany the city's transport sector in efforts to improve the quality of public passenger transport, with the goal of ensuring safety, convenience and bringing an increasingly civilized and friendly experience to passengers.
