On January 16, the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board (Hanoi Department of Construction) said that relevant units are implementing a peak period of renovating the road traffic infrastructure system and urban technical infrastructure in the city.
Accordingly, maintenance and repair work is concentrated in wards in the inner city area; accommodation areas for delegates attending the Party Congress; locations for organizing cultural and political events; political center areas; historical and cultural relics; roads surrounding the National Convention Center and roads serving delegates' travel.
Along with that, contractors managing and maintaining road traffic infrastructure clean up traffic light systems and road signs such as paint strips and signs, and at the same time inspect and maintain traffic safety items including medians and traffic islands.
Units also organize the dismantling and recall of illegal banners and advertising sticks on road traffic infrastructure, overcoming the situation of obscuring visibility, causing urban unsightliness and potential risks of traffic unsafety.
In addition, damage to road surfaces and sidewalks is reviewed and repaired promptly; thoroughly handle peeling, cracking, and subsidence points to ensure smooth and safe road surfaces for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
In parallel with the above solutions, the Technical Infrastructure Management Center is pruning green trees in locations obscuring road traffic signs and traffic lights, contributing to ensuring safety and urban aesthetics.
