3 days ago (May 27), Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited held a restart ceremony for the investment project to build the Ring Road 2.5 (Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section) in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi after many years of stagnation.
The project to build the Ring Road 2.5, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, is invested in the form of a BT (build - transfer) contract with a length of 1.6km, with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND.

The project started in 2014 and was expected to be completed in 2017 but was behind schedule.
In 2020, the project was temporarily suspended when it had only reached about 40% of the workload. The reason is due to difficulties in site clearance and extension of BT contract appendices.
At the restart ceremony, Mr. Hoang Manh Hien - Deputy Director of Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited pledged that the investor and project enterprise will construct with the fastest progress and complete the route in the first quarter of 2026.

In Thanh Xuan district, the site clearance for the Ring Road 2.5 construction project from Nguyen Trai Street (National Highway 6) to Dam Hong is being focused on by this locality.
The project is about 1.5km long, starting at Nguyen Trai Street (Thuong Dinh Ward), ending at Dam Hong (Khuong Dinh Ward).
This is a group A project with a total investment of more than VND 2,500 billion, invested by Thanh Xuan District People's Committee. The implementation period is from 2022 to 2026.
To implement the project, Thanh Xuan District will reclaim and clear 60,902.1m2 of land, involving 703 organizations, individuals, and households in 4 wards of Thuong Dinh, Ha Dinh, Khuong Trung, and Khuong Dinh.

Thanh Xuan District strives to complete the issuance of land acquisition decisions and approve compensation, support and resettlement plans for all organizations, households and individuals within the project scope in 2025.
When completed, the two projects will contribute to solving traffic congestion, helping to facilitate connections from Nguyen Trai Street to Giai Phong Street and vice versa, contributing to synchronizing the urban transport infrastructure system in the capital.
