The Quy Mong - Kien Thanh Road Emergency Repair Project, Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province was approved by the Provincial People's Committee under Decision No. 477/QD-UBND dated March 13, 2025.
This is a Group C project with a total approved investment of 100 billion VND from the state budget and other legal capital sources.
Of which, the construction cost is more than 83 billion VND, the project management cost is more than 1.5 billion VND, the construction investment consulting cost is more than 5.2 billion VND, other costs are more than 1.8 billion VND, the rest is the contingency cost of nearly 8.3 billion VND.
According to Lao Dong, the Tran Yen District Investment and Construction Project Management Board (Project Investor) has just announced an invitation to bid for Package No. 04: Construction of the project: Emergency repair of Quy Mong - Kien Thanh road, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province.
The above construction package was bid online, priced at more than 83 billion VND, the bidding time is on June 21, 2025, the package implementation period is 240 days.
In the coming time, the unit winning the above -mentioned package will deploy construction on the route with a total length of 13 km (excluding the junction). At the beginning of the junction intersects with provincial road 166 to Highway 37; The end point at Km13 is associated with the old road to Dong Song village (Kien Thanh commune).
According to the project documents, the roadbed and road surface are designed according to the standards of a grade V mountainous road, with a roadbed width of 6.5 m, a road surface width of 3.5 m, and a road edge width of 3 m (henchment on each side is 1 m according to the road surface structure). At the locations for reinforcing ditches, water embankments, and embankments, the remaining embankment is reinforced with cement concrete.
The section from Km0 - Km0 + 795.97 and the intersection of the road from Quy Mong to the center of Kien Thanh commune at Km8 + 54.32 are designed according to the current status of the old roadbed and road surface.
Previously, on May 20, 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "An inter-commune road in Yen Bai is deteriorating, people are tired of waiting for repairs", reflecting that the road from Quy Mong commune to Kien Thanh commune has been seriously degraded after a long period of no restoration or repair, endangering people's travel.
According to the reporter's records at that time, the road has many sections of the road with all the asphalt layer, some locations have exposed dangerous slippery soil, a series of potholes and potholes with stagnant water after the rain, vehicles have to struggle to move here.
In particular, after the rain, the "buffalo holes, chicken holes", muddy water caused people to have difficulty traveling. There have been a number of accidents on the route that make road users feel insecure.
