7,000 experts, engineers, and workers working on the construction site
According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), for Component Project 3 - Long Thanh Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1 - up to now, the site clearance compensation and leveling work have been basically completed on schedule, ensuring quality, security, safety and environmental sanitation.
For the main packages being implemented at the construction site, the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board has directed the construction units to speed up the construction progress of the packages, organizing hundreds of construction teams with nearly 7,000 experts, engineers, workers, laborers and nearly 3,000 construction equipment, organizing the construction site scientifically, professionally, and orderly, ensuring security and safety during the construction process.
Package 5.10, construction of the passenger terminal, considered the heart of the entire Long Thanh airport project, phase 1, is currently installing the terminal's steel roof. Up to now, the main steel truss installation has been 100% completed in the wing area and 47% completed in the central area. We are striving to complete the roof steel structure work before the 2025 rainy season to ensure the installation of equipment systems inside the terminal.
For package 4.6, runway construction, ACV is determined to direct construction units to complete and technically exploit the runway and taxiway before April 30, 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 3 months ahead of schedule in the contract.
For package 6.12, the construction of 2 routes connecting Long Thanh airport is also scheduled to strive to complete and technically open Route 1 before April 30, 2025 and complete and hand over the project for use before September 2, 2025.
In addition, ACV has proactively adjusted the contractor selection plan with the goal of synchronizing operations with the passenger terminal. For the remaining packages of the project (cargo terminal, parking lot, ICT system...), ACV has built a schedule and is determined to complete them according to the Prime Minister's direction.
Mr. Duong Quang Dien - Permanent Deputy Director of Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board - said: "In 2025, we are determined to basically complete the construction work of Long Thanh airport project phase 1".

To complete the progress quickly and ensure quality, ACV said that in the coming time, the construction site will continue to increase the construction force, taking advantage of favorable dry season weather to speed up and urgently carry out construction.
ACV requires that the construction site maintain over 70% of the construction workers during the Lunar New Year 2025. In addition to working during the holiday, contractors will also work at night. ACV also requires contractors to plan construction during the Tet holiday, ensuring the best construction volume, but also creating a favorable environment for workers to be happy, warm, and feel the care of the units during the project implementation process.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan - Deputy Executive Director of the Joint Venture for Package 5.10, construction of Long Thanh airport passenger terminal, to ensure the progress of the project, the joint venture contractor has planned to mobilize workers and engineers to work through the 2025 Lunar New Year, maintaining 70% of the workforce throughout the holiday.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tien - of the Aviation Construction Corporation (ACC) - Commander of the Joint Venture of Package 4.6, construction of the Long Thanh airport runway - informed: The Joint Venture of Contractors has come up with a plan, construction teams on duty during Tet and construction through Tet, human resources, machinery and equipment are guaranteed to remain the same and divided into construction teams to ensure the construction work meets and exceeds the schedule.
