According to Lao Dong, the site clearance (GPMB) for the implementation of the Ring Road 2.5 construction project from Nguyen Trai Street (National Highway 6) to Dam Hong is being focused on by Thanh Xuan District.
The project is about 1.5km long, starting at Nguyen Trai Street (Thuong Dinh Ward), ending at Dam Hong (Khuong Dinh Ward).
This is a group A project with a total investment of more than VND 2,500 billion, invested by Thanh Xuan District People's Committee. The implementation period is from 2022 to 2026.

To implement the project, Thanh Xuan District will reclaim the land, land area of 60,902.1m2, related to 703 organizations, individuals, and households in 4 wards of Thuong Dinh, Ha Dinh, Khuong Trung, and Khuong Dinh.
Thanh Xuan District strives to complete the issuance of land acquisition decisions and approve compensation, support and resettlement plans for all organizations, households and individuals within the project scope in 2025.
After completing the site clearance, the investor will hand over the site to the contractor to implement the project, and soon put it into use to solve the congestion, as well as synchronize the urban transport infrastructure system.

It is expected that in April 2025, immediately after signing the contract appendix with the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the contractor will resume construction of the Ring Road 2.5 construction project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section (Hoang Mai district).
The route is invested in the form of a BT (build - transfer) contract with a length of 2.06km, with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND.
The project started in 2014 and was expected to be completed in 2017 but was behind schedule. In 2020, the project was temporarily suspended when it had only reached about 40% of the workload.

The Ring Road 2.5, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, expected to be completed in 2025, will connect with the Kim Dong - Giai Phong underpass project (Hoang Mai District).
The underpass project started in October 2022 with a total investment of 778 billion VND, with a total tunnel and approach road length of 890m towards Ring Road 2.5, of which the closed tunnel is 140m long and the open tunnel is 320m long.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, after more than 2 years of construction, the project has reached more than 60% of the volume. The underpass is expected to be completed in 2025.
An important traffic project is also about to be implemented, connecting Ring Road 2.5 and Thanh Tri Bridge is the Linh Nam road expansion project (Hoang Mai district).
This project was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2013 with a length of about 3.4km, starting at Tam Trinh intersection and ending at Nguyen Khoi dike intersection. Part of the route (from Vinh Hung intersection to Nguyen Khoi dike) is the section of Hanoi Ring Road 2.5.

By August 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee had approved an adjustment to the implementation time of the project to upgrade and expand Linh Nam road according to the plan, to be completed in 2027.
The reason for the adjustment is due to difficulties and problems in site clearance, leading to the project not ensuring progress. Hoang Mai District strives to complete the site clearance work in the first quarter of 2025 and start the project in June 2025.
In the future, when the above projects are completed, it will help connect National Highway 6 to Thanh Tri Bridge conveniently, helping to reduce traffic congestion, contributing to the socio-economic development of the capital.
