Many roads connecting Long Thanh airport are being accelerated to be completed before or at the same time as the airport is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2026.
Provincial road 25C, the section from National Highway 51 to Huong Lo 19, about 2.65km long, is under construction with the goal of opening to traffic in October 2026. This road will directly connect with T1 road in the area of gate number 1 of Long Thanh airport, and also contribute to sharing traffic for National Highway 51.

The project has a total investment of about 877 billion VND, the main road surface is 16m wide on each side, and the median strip is 5m wide. Currently, the project has reached nearly 70% progress.
At the construction site, dozens of construction teams are simultaneously filling the foundation, grading the foundation, paving hot asphalt and completing the vertical drainage system.

On a regional scale, the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway is 58km long, with a total investment of 31,300 billion VND, and is completing the final items. This expressway is expected to open to traffic on the entire route at the end of September 2026, creating an additional connecting direction from the Southwest region through Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh airport.

In addition, component project 3 of Ring Road 3 HCMC section passing through Dong Nai, more than 11km long, currently reaches about 80% of the contract value. The project has a total investment of 3, 868 billion VND, with the goal of completion and opening to traffic in October 2026.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway is also being expanded to increase the scale of the route from 4 to 8-10 lanes. Long Thanh bridge alone is being built with an additional unit with 5 lanes. The project is in the acceleration phase, aiming to be completed synchronously with the time Long Thanh airport is put into operation.

Long Thanh bridge is expected to close the main bridge in December 2026 and complete the remaining items in March 2027.
In addition, railway lines directly connecting to passenger terminals are also being studied to optimize the road transport network. Expressways, ring roads and airport connection roads are being accelerated, gradually completing the transportation system serving Long Thanh airport.
