At noon on September 21, at Km15+500 and Km15+700 on provincial road 722, belonging to Lang Biang ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong province, 2 landslide points occurred due to prolonged heavy rain.
Landslides on the road dragged more than 10 pine trees uprooted and fallen across the road surface, causing traffic obstruction through the area.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Traffic Police Team (CSGT) No. 1 under the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with rescue forces, rapid response forces of Lang Biang ward - Da Lat and Lam Dong Electricity to implement remediation.
Forces are proceeding to cut down and remove fallen pine trees on the road surface.
At the same time, functional forces are fixing and rebuilding the fallen power poles to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
According to functional forces, the remediation work was deployed continuously in the afternoon.
By about 2:30 pm on the same day, the soil, rocks and fallen pine trees had been cleared, and traffic through the area returned to normal.
Currently, there is still rain in Lam Dong province, with very heavy rain in some places. Functional forces continue to monitor weather developments and handle affected areas due to rain and wind.
People traveling on DT722 road, especially the Lac Duong - Suoi Vang area, are advised to reduce speed, pay attention to observation, especially when passing through areas with slopes, green trees and landslide risks.
