Lam Dong - Heavy rain caused the positive slope on Prenn Pass to landslide, many boulders and soil and rocks spilled onto the road surface. Fortunately, no one was injured.

At about 4:30 pm on September 19, when many vehicles were traveling through Prenn Pass, in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, in rainy conditions, a landslide suddenly occurred on the positive slope.

The landslide location is identified at Km225+200 National Highway 20, the section through Prenn Pass.

The landslide caused at least 3 large rocks and many soil and rocks to spill onto the road.

At the time of the incident, some car drivers promptly detected it, steered to avoid or stopped the car, so there was no collision. The landslide did not cause casualties.

Immediately after receiving the news, Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Da Lat) was present at the scene to divert traffic, regulate traffic, guide vehicles through dangerous areas and coordinate with forces to overcome the incident.

According to records, at the landslide site, there is still a lot of soil, rocks and some pine tree stumps lying precariously on the positive slope, with the risk of further landslides.

This area needs to be handled soon to ensure safety for people and vehicles.

Previously, on the evening of September 12, also at the above location, a positive taluy landslide occurred, causing soil and rocks to spill onto the road and obstruct traffic.

The Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police recommends that people and drivers when passing Prenn Pass should reduce speed, proactively observe, maintain a safe distance and comply with the instructions of functional forces.

Prenn Pass is located on National Highway 20, one of the southern gateways to Da Lat, with a large traffic volume, especially on heavy rainy days.
