Road degraded for many years
Lao Dong Newspaper received a report from residents of Tan Thinh Commune (Nam Truc District, Nam Dinh Province) about the deterioration of the residential road leading to Hamlet 1 (also known as Trai Dong Ke Hamlet), Vu Lao Village, Tan Thinh Commune for many years. Up to now, the degraded road has not been invested in or rebuilt, and residents have had to suffer on a bumpy road with gravel and broken concrete.
According to local people, the degraded road that has not been invested in construction is the main road leading to Trai Dong Ke hamlet, nearly 2km long. This is also the road connecting to the national relic of Trang Nguyen Hien temple (Nam Thang commune, Nam Truc district).
"For more than 10 years, our people have been haunted by this miserable road. Many people have had accidents while traveling on this road, including my nephew who recently fell and scratched his face. Although there have been no serious accidents, the degraded road has greatly affected our lives. Because the main road is so degraded, people and students have to go to school through the back road. Because it is a side road, it is small and difficult to travel, but it is less bumpy than the degraded main road" - Ms. Pham Thi Hang (name changed, resident of Trai Dong Ke hamlet) said.
Sharing the same difficult situation every time she passes through the degraded road, Ms. Tran Thi Thuong (name changed) said indignantly: "On rainy days, if you are not careful when crossing this road, you can easily slip and fall. On sunny days, the rocks and concrete are rough, making it bumpy and dusty. I and many people in the neighborhood often have to go to work early in the morning, the road is dark, degraded, and very dangerous. To temporarily fix it, to make traveling less difficult, we have contributed money twice to repair it, but it only lasts for a short time."
Hope to upgrade the degraded road soon
Pham Huu Nhu (67 years old, cadre of Vu Lao village) said: "The road to Trai Dong Ke has been degraded for more than ten years, and the people have made many petitions. Recently, at the commune voters' meeting, the government informed the people about this road, related to the project to renovate and upgrade Nguyen Hien Street, Nam Truc District, and the district has submitted a document to the province, with directions for implementation in the coming time. I, as well as the people in Trai Dong Ke hamlet, hope that the project will be implemented soon, so that the road to my hamlet will be upgraded, helping people's travel to be safer and more convenient."
Regarding the degraded road leading to Trai Dong Ke hamlet, a representative of Nam Truc district informed that the above road section in Tan Thinh commune is part of the project to renovate and upgrade Nguyen Hien road, Nam Truc district.
To serve the travel needs of the people and improve connectivity between localities in the district with district roads, provincial roads, and national highways; Nam Truc District People's Committee has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Planning and Investment for consideration and permission for Nam Truc District People's Committee to organize the preparation of a report proposing the project investment policy. The project implementation period is 2024 - 2027.
