On the afternoon of October 18, authorities in Dak Nong province determined the initial cause of the pickup truck overturning, killing 3 people and injuring 2 others in Nam Binh commune.
The initial cause was determined to be that late at night, the driver lost control. The pickup truck then plunged into the stream and overturned.
The driver of the pickup truck 74C-109.16 has not yet been identified. The vehicle owner was identified as Mr. V.N.H, one of the three deceased victims.
Pickup truck 74C-109.16 Ford brand, manufactured in 2022, with an expiration date of 2047. The most recent inspection was on May 27, 2024 and the next inspection is on May 26, 2025.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the above accident occurred in the early morning of the same day, on the inter-commune road DH27 in Nam Binh commune, Dak Song district.
At the time the pickup truck with license plate 74C-109.16 suddenly fell into the ditch, there were 5 people in the car. As a result, 3 people died: Mr. V.N.H (30 years old, residing in Quang Tri province), D.N (31 years old, residing in Dak Lak province) and P.H.Q (29 years old, residing in Thuan Hanh commune, Dak Song district). The remaining two people suffered minor injuries.
Nam Binh Commune leaders said the area where the accident occurred was quite deserted. As soon as they received information about the car flipping over, authorities arrived, examined the scene, performed an autopsy, and investigated to clarify the cause of the accident.
