At the end of May 2025, with the permission of the Hanoi People's Committee, Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited held a restart ceremony for the Ring Road 2.5 Construction Project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section.
Speaking with Lao Dong, a representative of Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited said that after the restart ceremony, the project enterprise has directed the contractor to mobilize machinery and personnel to carry out the construction of the crushed stone aggregate layer (Base) that was constructed from the previous phase mixed with waste and construction waste on an area of about 1,370 m2 (belonging to package No. 1).
The thickness of the Base layer must be peeled off on average by 15 - 20 cm, with some areas having to be peeled off at a depth of 40 - 50 cm. The total amount of Base stone that must be peeled and moved is about 100 m3 to ensure the quality of the roadbed according to regulations.
The contractor also organized the compression of the entire roadbed in the demolished area, ensuring the strictness according to standards.




For package No. 2 - construction of L3 bridge over Lu river (route Km1+394), the investor has directed the contractor to conduct a field survey and organize a trial, inspecting the current status of the quality of bridge piers and bridge girders under construction before 2019.
The inspection results showed that the inspected items met quality requirements, ensured the design load-bearing capacity and required current technical standards to continue constructing the remaining items.
Currently, the investor is completing the traffic organization plan for the area on both sides of the L3 bridgehead, reporting to the Department of Construction for appraisal, comments and consideration of granting a license to construct the L3 bridge item on the road under operation according to regulations.
It is expected that the L3 bridge over the Lu River will be re-constructed from September 2025.


For package No. 3: Construction of roads, sidewalks, trees, traffic organization, rainwater drainage, wastewater drainage, power pipe packaging, technical pipe packaging section 3 (from Km1+405.85 to Km2+61.33 currently from Km1+405.85 to Km1+600) has not been implemented.
The reason is that this section of the route must adjust all related items, including: adjusting the scale of the package (due to the transfer of more than 400m to the city's underpass project), adjusting the route and types of sewers of the rainwater drainage and wastewater drainage systems; adjusting sidewalk, tree, lighting items...
Therefore, the construction work of package 3 will only be implemented after the adjusted Feasibility Study Report of the Project is approved.
A representative of Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited set a goal of completing the Ring Road 2.5 section Dam Hong - National Highway 1A in the first quarter of 2026, synchronized with the Kim Dong - Giai Phong underpass.
The project to build the Ring Road 2.5, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section (Hanoi) is invested in the form of a BT (build - transfer) contract with a length of 1.6km, with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND.
The project started in 2014 and was expected to be completed in 2017 but was behind schedule.
In 2020, the project was temporarily suspended when it had only reached about 40% of the workload. The reason is due to difficulties in site clearance and extension of BT contract appendices.
