Lam Dong - After many hours of being cut off due to flooding, National Highway 1 through the Luy - Luong Son River area has reopened.

At noon on October 28, the flooded area on National Highway 1, Km1658 through Song Luy and Luong Son communes, Lam Dong province, had its water drained.

Vehicles and motorbikes have resumed traffic, although the road surface is still flooded and slippery.

The route management unit mobilized cranes and workers to reinstall the median strip that was deflated by the water during the flooding that morning. The water level of the Luy River is still high and flowing rapidly.

As Lao Dong reported, in the early morning of October 28, floodwaters from the Luy River rose and overflowed National Highway 1, causing this section of road to be flooded about 700m deep, with some places nearly 1m deep, temporarily cutting off traffic in both directions. The authorities were present to regulate traffic.

Notably, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan (residing in village 1, Song Luy commune) - a local resident - volunteered to use a tractor to help move people through flooded areas.

In response to this act of gratitude, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the leaders of the People's Committee of Song Luy commune promptly commended and commended Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan.
