On February 4, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Provincial Traffic Police force had just fined a passenger bus for "carrying more people than the prescribed number".

Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on February 3, at Km 3+200, National Highway 217B (in Ha Bac commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province), the working group of Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department - Thanh Hoa Provincial Police stopped and inspected a passenger car with license plate 36F-000.39, moving from National Highway 1 to Gia Mieu intersection to get on the North-South Expressway, showing signs of carrying more people than the prescribed number.
Conducting an inspection of the vehicle, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was Mr. D.V.D (42 years old, residing in Ngu Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province) carrying 56 passengers/40 seats.

Immediately afterwards, the working group drew up a record of administrative violation against driver D. At the same time, it drew up a record of violation against the vehicle owner for the act of "Allowing an employee to drive a vehicle carrying more people than the prescribed number".
For the above violation, Mr. D (the direct driver) and the owner of the passenger vehicle will be fined a total of 40 million VND, and have 1 driver's license and 1 vehicle badge temporarily detained.
