On February 15th (December 28th of the lunar calendar), at Km40+500 – Km41+200 Dai Ninh Pass (National Highway 28B), the section constructed by Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company, the gravel pavement surface was peeled off and damaged, causing many vehicles, including 4-seater cars, to be unable to move, causing prolonged traffic jams.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi urgently directed to fix it, ensuring smooth traffic during Tet.

Implementing the direction, the Department of Construction requested the construction unit to focus manpower and vehicles to handle damage; assign leaders to be directly present at the scene to supervise. Dozens of vehicles were mobilized to level and create ground.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tien, Director of the Department of Construction, said that by about 10 am on February 16, the remediation work was basically completed, and vehicles had safely circulated through National Highway 28B.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Cars are congested, queuing in long lines on Dai Ninh Pass due to bad road surface".
The content of the article reflects the fact that many cars skid and have difficulty traveling through the gravel road section at the top of Dai Ninh Pass. Vehicles are congested for a long time.
