On the evening of November 18, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province issued a notice prohibiting trucks with a total load of over 15 tons from traveling through Mimosa Pass due to the risk of landslides.
Accordingly, from 5:30 p.m. on November 18, Lam Dong province banned trucks with a total weight of 15 tons or more (total weight of the vehicle itself plus cargo weight) from circulating on Mimosa Pass (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat) until further notice.

Other types of vehicles are allowed to travel in two directions as the current traffic organization plan.
Lam Dong Department of Construction diverts trucks with a total total weight of 15 tons or more to circulate to the central wards of Da Lat city and vice versa.
Specifically, for vehicles from Duc Trong commune to Da Lat and vice versa, when reaching Lien Khuong roundabout (Km 203+400, National Highway 20), they go to National Highway 27 (Km 174, National Highway 20), to the Forest Gate Intersection (Km 164+100, National Highway 27, turn right onto Provincial Road 725 through Ta Nung Pass to Da Lat and vice versa.
For vehicles from Don Duong commune, Hiep Thanh commune to Da Lat and vice versa, from Phi Nom intersection to National Highway 27 to the Forest Gate intersection, continue to Da Lat.

Similarly, vehicles from Dinh Van Lam Ha commune to Da Lat and vice versa to the Forest Gate Intersection continue to follow Provincial Road 725 through Ta Nung Pass to Van Thanh Da Lat flower village.
Lam Dong Department of Construction said that due to the impact of heavy rain from November 16 to 18, the first first first person on National Highway 20 (Km223+240 - Km234+000) suffered landslides, damaged roadbeds and surfaces at Km226+500 - Km226+800.
Currently, the risk of further landslides is still ongoing, so it is not guaranteed for heavy-duty vehicles to circulate.
On the afternoon of November 18, leaders of Lam Dong province and authorities came to survey the landslide scene on Mimosa Pass and requested the Department of Construction to urgently fix the landslide incident.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of November 17, Prenn Pass - the main gateway to Da Lat - suffered a serious landslide, forcing traffic to be banned.

Previously, on October 28, D'ran Pass, National Highway 20 - the main route connecting Da Lat with Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) and Gia Bac Pass on National Highway 28 connecting Phan Thiet with Da Lat all suffered serious landslides.
Therefore, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to declare a natural disaster emergency for Prenn, D'ran and Gia Bac passes, prohibiting vehicles from passing through landslides.
