According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, due to the night of November 16 at Km45 on National Highway 27C through Khanh Le Pass, a large landslide occurred, causing a complete blockage of the main road connecting Da Lat with Nha Trang.

Many people and tourists on their way down to Khanh Hoa and up to Lam Dong were forced to turn towards Da Lat.
However, during the unfortunate move, another road section also collapsed, causing 7 vehicles to be stuck in the middle of the pass in Nam Khanh Vinh commune (Khanh Hoa province).

Of these, there were 4 trucks carrying goods and 3 tourist vehicles, with a total of 20 people completely isolated, unable to move or seek food assistance.
After receiving the report, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Police mobilized excavators and trucks to rescue.

Because many landslides continuously appeared on the way to reach these people, leveling and approaching became extremely difficult.
Meanwhile, it continued to rain heavily, causing a series of new landslides.

After many hours of efforts to clean up large and small landslides, at around 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police Department had reached isolated people and provided food and drinking water to the people.
Currently, forces are focusing on taking those trapped out of the landslide area to ensure safety.
