Quang Ngai - National Day September 2nd, Sa Ky - Ly Son route is expected to welcome 1,000 - 1,500 passengers per day. Forces strengthen ships and control safety.

In the days leading up to National Day September 2nd, the number of passengers booking tickets to Ly Son is gradually increasing. Through the online ticket sales system, the Port Management Board of Quang Ngai province forecasts that there are about 1,000 - 1,500 passengers going back and forth on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route each day.

To serve the increased number of passengers during the 5-day holiday, 8 high-speed trains operating on the route are scheduled to run appropriately. Transport units register a total of 24 trips per day, including both departure and arrival directions. Depending on the actual number of passengers, the train schedule will be adjusted to ensure meeting travel needs and in accordance with operating conditions.

Ms. Vu Thi Thuy - Head of Sa Ky Management and Exploitation Department, Provincial Port Authority (Department of Construction) - said that before the forecast of a high increase in the number of passengers to Ly Son during the National Day holiday, the Port Authority has proactively developed a service plan, strengthened human resources, and coordinated with transport units to prepare vehicles and arrange suitable flight schedules.

Senior Lieutenant Ngo Lam - Head of Sa Ky Port Border Guard Station - said that during the holiday, the Border Guard force coordinated with the Maritime Administration and related units to strengthen inspection and control at the port.

Vehicles, crew members and equipment serving passenger safety are carefully checked before departure; at the same time, alcohol concentration is checked for drivers. Thereby, promptly detecting and rectifying cases that do not ensure conditions, preventing risks of unsafety on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route.

Not only the Sa Ky - Ly Son route, transportation activities from Big Island to Small Island (An Binh) are also being strengthened by functional forces during the holidays. Currently, the Big Island - An Binh route has 10 operating canoes, carrying from 32 - 38 passengers per trip.

Before leaving the station, vehicles are checked for operating conditions, papers, life-saving and fire-fighting equipment and related technical requirements. Vehicles that do not fully meet safety conditions will not be allowed to take passengers out of the station.

Captain Le Cong Nhan - Head of An Vinh Border Guard Station, Ly Son Border Guard Station - informed that functional forces strictly check the safety conditions of vehicles before departure, from papers, technical conditions to life-saving equipment.
