High-speed train from Vung Tau to Con Dao resumes operation from February 26th

Ho Chi Minh City - Thang Long high-speed train with more than 1,000 seats will resume operation on the Vung Tau - Con Dao route from February 26, after a long period of suspension.

On February 11, Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company (Phu Quoc Express) announced the resumption of operation of Thang Long high-speed train with more than 1,000 seats on the Vung Tau - Con Dao route.

On the first day of operation again on February 26 (ie, the 10th day of the Lunar New Year), the Thang Long high-speed train will depart from Vung Tau at 7:30 am to Con Dao. Then turn around from Con Dao back to Vung Tau at 1:00 pm on the same day.

In the period from February 27 to March 15, it is expected that on Tuesdays - Thursdays - Saturdays every week, the Thang Long high-speed train will depart from Vung Tau to Con Dao, the travel time will take about 3 hours and 30 minutes. And on Wednesdays - Fridays - Sundays, the Thang Long high-speed train will depart from Con Dao at about 1 pm to move to Vung Tau.

According to Phu Quoc High-Speed Ferry Joint Stock Company, the unit has stopped transporting passengers to Con Dao since the beginning of September 2025. In the immediate future, during the restoration phase, ticket prices will remain unchanged compared to before.

In the coming time, the unit will also consider increasing the service frequency of Thang Long high-speed trains on the Vung Tau - Con Dao route, depending on weather conditions and the needs of people and tourists.
