From the morning of January 26, the Km205 rest stop on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway officially went into operation, serving the rest needs of people traveling on this expressway.
The rest stop is built at Km205+902 on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, passing through Ham Thuan Bac commune, Lam Dong province.
At this location, both the right and left sides of the route arranged rest stops and operated together on the morning of January 26.
Thereby, creating favorable conditions for vehicles to move in two directions. Each station has an area of about 5ha.
Recorded on the first morning of operation, many cars, passenger cars and trucks stopped at the station to rest.
Basic functional areas such as parking lots, toilets and food service areas have been put into operation.
At the parking lot, security forces are on duty, guiding vehicles into neat parking locations, ensuring safety and order. Free wifi network serves people.
The dining area is arranged with tables and chairs to serve people resting, doing business in many fast foods. In addition, the station also has a candy, soft drink and coffee selling area, meeting the needs of people.
Staff at the rest stop are arranged to meet the needs of people during peak hours and when there are many customers.
The toilet area is invested in clean and modern, with staff regularly on duty to clean and ensure hygiene.
According to records, the gas station and electric vehicle charging area here are basically completed in terms of construction, but have not yet been put into operation.
Mr. Pham Quoc Huy - Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction) said that the gas station and the electric vehicle charging area are still waiting to complete licensing procedures according to regulations.
From now until Tet, the unit will try to complete the necessary procedures to soon bring the gas station and electric vehicle charging area to serve people," Mr. Huy shared.
Along with the exploitation of some items, the investor continues to complete all the remaining functional areas of the rest stop. It is expected that by April 2026, the Km205 rest stop of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway will be completed and operated synchronously.
The commissioning of some essential items is to meet the needs of people stopping to rest when traveling on the highway, especially returning to their hometowns for the upcoming Lunar New Year.
Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is more than 100.8km long, passing through Lam Dong province, opened to traffic and put into operation from May 2023.
According to the plan, this expressway has two construction locations for rest stops. Currently, the rest stop at Km144+560 (Vinh Hao commune) has not yet been fully handed over, so the investor cannot deploy construction according to the plan.
