On April 30, the People's Council of Dong Nai province passed a Resolution on investment in construction of projects connecting Dong Nai province and assigned the project investment management agency.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the investment in transportation projects connecting localities in the region aims to gradually complete the transportation system according to the planning of the Southeast region, improve transportation capacity, enhance connectivity with neighboring localities, serve the needs of travel, goods transportation and socio-economic development of localities.
In particular, connecting traffic with Binh Phuoc province (through Ma Da bridge), Binh Duong province (Hieu Liem 2 bridge) and Ho Chi Minh City (Thu Thiem railway line - Long Thanh airport) will promote economic development of Dong Nai province and the Southeast region.
In particular, the investment project to build Ma Da Cau and the two ends of the bridge in phase 1 is 450 m long, the connector point on the route of DT 753 (Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province) and the end point connecting the path from Ma Da Cau to the Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City. This project has a total investment of more than VND 230 billion from the budget of Dong Nai province, expected Dong Nai People's Committee to be the governing body.
Hieu Liem 2 bridge construction project is longer than 1.4 km. In particular, Hieu Liem bridge across the little river 150 m long, the road leading to Binh Duong province is more than 1.2 km, the road leading to Dong Nai province is about 100 m, connecting the road DT 746. The project has a total investment of more than 360 billion VND from the budget of Binh Duong province, expected People's Committee of Binh Duong province is the managing agency.
The Thu Thiem - Long Thanh railway project is about 42 km long, designed as a double track, with a road size of 1435 mm, a design speed of 120 km/h, 20 stations, transporting passengers from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai province to Long Thanh airport. This is an important national project with a total investment of about 3.5 billion USD from the Ho Chi Minh City budget and other legal capital sources, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is expected to be the managing agency.
Regarding the Ma Da bridge project, the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision; at the same time, urgently implement the procedures according to regulations to promptly implement the project in accordance with legal regulations and ensure progress and set plans;
For resolutions related to the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh Railway Project and the Hieu Liem 2 Cau Liem 2 project, the provincial People's Committee is requested to coordinate with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province to promote the implementation of important transport projects connecting the above localities according to the approved policy.
