Cat Lai Bridge - replaces Cat Lai ferry
Cat Lai Bridge is a large-scale cable-stayed bridge project with 8 lanes, with a total length of about 4.8 km.
The starting point of the bridge is on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, Thu Duc City - about 400m from My Thuy intersection; the end point is directly connected to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway in Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province.

The project will be divided into three independent components, including:
Component project 1: Renovation and expansion of a 1.6 km long Nguyen Thi Dinh road, with a total cost of about VND 3,800 billion, of which the cost of site clearance accounts for about VND 3,600 billion. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is the investor, using state budget capital.
Component project 2: Construction of a connecting road from Cat Lai bridge to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, 6.6 km long with a total investment of VND 5,000 billion (land clearance is estimated at about VND 1,300 billion). Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is responsible for investing with public capital.

Component project 3: Construction of Cat Lai bridge under the form of public-private partnership (PPP), BOT contract (build - operate - transfer), with a total capital of about 10,500 billion VND. Of which, investors contributed about VND 5,400 billion (51%), the rest was budget capital.
Dong Nai 2 Bridge - connecting Ring Road 3 with National Highway 51
The Dong Nai 2 bridge project has a total preliminary investment of about VND18,584 billion, with a scale of 8 lanes.
The starting point of the bridge intersects with Ring Road 3 at Go Cong intersection (Thu Duc City), the end point connects with National Highway 51 (Dong Nai Province). The cost of site clearance alone accounts for the majority of about VND 11,004 billion.

The project is also divided into three components:
Component 1: The road connecting Ring Road 3 to Dong Nai 2 Bridge, 5.4 km long, is invested by Ho Chi Minh City with a budget of about 1,500 billion VND.
Component 2: Construction of Dong Nai 2 bridge, cost of about 3,500 billion VND.
Component 3: The road connecting Dong Nai 2 bridge to National Highway 51, about 6 km long, with an investment capital of about 1,400 billion VND. These two components are implemented by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province.
Phu My 2 Bridge
As one of the largest projects in the group of 3 bridges, Phu My 2 Bridge is designed with a scale of 8 lanes, with a total investment of about VND 21,484 billion. The estimated cost of site clearance is about 6,250 billion VND.
Phu My 2 Bridge has a starting point intersecting with the inter- port road in Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai), the end point connecting the North - South axis on Nguyen Huu Tho street, Nha Be district (HCMC).

With the role of connecting urban areas and large industrial parks in Nhon Trach, District 7, Nha Be, the project is expected to expand urban - industrial development space, attract investment and promote regional economic growth.
Notably, Phu My 2 Bridge is also located on the main expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh International Airport.
The three bridges of Cat Lai, Phu My 2 and Dong Nai 2 not only remove traffic infrastructure bottlenecks connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, but also expand development space to the East - an area considered the "gateway" for trade between Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast provinces and seaports, international airports in the near future.
