The traffic accident occurred at 12:05 on the same day at the intersection of green and red lights on Dao Duy Tu - Nguyen Dinh Chieu streets (Loc Phat ward, Bao Loc city).
Images from a vehicle's camera show: At that time, the ambulance with license plate: 49B - 1225 driven by Vu Van Cuong (52 years old, residing in Loc Thang town, Bao Lam district) was traveling on Dao Duy Tu street in the direction from Loc Phat ward People's Committee to Bao Loc city center.
When arriving at the Dao Duy Tu - Nguyen Dinh Chieu intersection (there were 6 seconds of red light), the ambulance overtook a number of vehicles that were stopping at red lights here, moving through the intersection.
At this time, a motorbike driven by Mr. A (17 years old, residing in Loc Phat ward) traveling on Nguyen Dinh Chieu street (when signaling a blue light) crashed straight into the side of an ambulance.
The accident caused the motorbike to have a deformed front, Mr. A was seriously injured with a broken thigh and a head injury.
After the accident, people quickly took the victim to the ambulance to Lam Dong II Hospital for emergency care.
Currently, the victim is on his way to Ho Chi Minh City for treatment. According to images recorded by the camera and witnesses, at the time of running a red light, the accident with a motorbike or ambulance did not turn on the lights and the priority horn.
