On the morning of September 13, on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, section Km216 through Ham Liem commune, Lam Dong province, a tractor-trailer overturned and blocked the road. The accident location is about 8km from the National Highway 28 intersection.
At the above time, a tractor-trailer with license plate 89H-003.15 was traveling on the highway, when it reached the above location, the vehicle encountered an accident and then overturned, pressing on the hard median strip in the middle of the road.
Because the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway only has 4 lanes for both directions, the tractor-trailer overturned, blocking almost the entire traffic section. A series of vehicles had to stop and line up, causing prolonged traffic jams in both directions.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) coordinated with the route management unit to be present at the scene to regulate traffic.
Vehicles are guided out of the expressway at the National Highway 28 intersection and Phan Thiet intersection to limit congestion.
Rescue trucks were also dispatched to the scene. After the Traffic Police force finished handling the scene, the crane was used to remove the crashed tractor-trailer from the highway and restore traffic.
