To proactively relieve traffic pressure and prevent prolonged congestion, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department, said they are organizing traffic diversion and borrowing opposite lanes for vehicles going to Hanoi on the section from Km259 to Km211 of the Cao Bo - Phap Van expressway.
Directions for southern provinces to Hanoi:
Vehicles going straight to Hanoi are guided to enter lane No. 1, close to the median strip, then switch to the opposite direction at Km259, circulate according to traffic police regulation to Km211 (Dai Xuyen intersection) and re-enter the normal direction.
Vehicles wishing to leave at the Liem Son, Liem Tuyen, Phu Thu, and Vuc Vong intersections continue to circulate on the normal lane, going in lane number 2 or lane number 3.
Hanoi direction to the southern provinces:
Vehicles arriving at Dai Xuyen intersection (Km211) were instructed to leave the expressway and move to National Highway 1A to continue their journey.
During the implementation of the plan, functional forces organized to prevent vehicles from entering the expressway in the direction of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and the southern provinces at locations: Km219 (Vuc Vong), Km227 (Phu Thu - rest stop area), Km230 (Liem Tuyen) and Km241 (Liem Son).
On September 2nd, it is forecast that the traffic volume from provinces returning to Hanoi will continue to increase, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3 will continue to deploy the plan to divert traffic, borrow the opposite direction of the road when the actual traffic situation requires, in order to improve traffic capacity and limit congestion on the route.
The Traffic Police Department recommends: When traveling through the area organizing the borrowed lane, vehicle drivers must absolutely not arbitrarily change lanes, turn around or leave the arranged lane; reduce speed, maintain a safe distance, pay attention to temporary traffic signs and signs and strictly comply with traffic police orders.
Drivers proactively update traffic information, choose suitable routes to limit vehicle concentration on the expressway at the same time.
