On February 21, Highway Traffic Patrol and Control Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) said that they had made a record of administrative violation against the driver and the passenger car owner for violating regulations on carrying more people than prescribed.
Previously, based on people's feedback sent to Zalo by the Traffic Police Department, Team 6 conducted verification and stopped to inspect sleeper bus license plate 79H-045. xx when this vehicle was traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway. The location of stopping for inspection is at National Highway 28 intersection in Lam Dong province.
Through direct counting, the working group recorded that there were 30 passengers on the car, while the vehicle was only allowed to carry 24 people, exceeding 6 people compared to regulations.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as N.X. H (born 1972, residing in Khanh Hoa province).
The Traffic Police force has made a record of administrative violation against the driver for the act of "Controlling a passenger transport business car running a route with a distance of more than 300km carrying more people than prescribed" according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. The applied fine is 9 million VND.
In addition, the vehicle owner was also recorded and fined for the act of "Letting an employee control the vehicle to commit a violation", with a fine of 36 million VND.
The total fine for the driver and vehicle owner is 45 million VND.
