Accordingly, on August 17, at Km 1642 Ho Chi Minh Road (section passing Tao Ko village, Ia Ron commune, Chu Puh district, Gia Lai province) a traffic accident occurred between a passenger car and a motorbike, causing 5 people were injured.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong (born 1981, residing in Group 6, Tan Hoa ward, Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province) is a driver of a passenger car with license plate 47B - 019.05. This passenger bus is traveling in the direction of Gia Lai - Dak Lak. At this time there were 18 people on the bus. Among them, there were 16 passengers.
When arriving at the above location, there was a collision with a motorbike with license plate 68M2 - 8751 driven by Ms. Rah Lan H'Yep (born 1984, residing in Tao Ko village, Ia Ron commune, Chu Puh district). The residential road leads to National Highway 14 (Ho Chi Minh).
Because the driver suddenly braked and swerved to avoid the motorcycle, the passenger car overturned on the side of Highway 14.
There are 5 seriously injured people being treated at Gia Lai Provincial General Hospital.
Through testing, it was determined that driver Nguyen Van Phuong had no alcohol concentration, no drugs in his body, and had an unexpired Class E driving license.
Ms. H'Yep has a helmet and is verifying her alcohol level and driver's license. Regarding traffic conditions when the accident occurred, the road was straight, the asphalt surface was 11m wide, there was no hard median strip, and the weather was dry.
The initial cause was determined to be Ms. H'Yep driving the vehicle without slowing down and not giving way when driving from a residential road to the main road.
The Police Investigation Agency of Gia Lai Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and clarify the cause to handle it according to the provisions of law.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that at about 1:45 p.m. on August 17, a passenger car with license plate number 47B - 019.05 was circulating on Highway 14, towards Gia Lai - Dak Lak.
When arriving at Tao Ko village, Ia Rong, Chu Puh district, there was a collision with a motorbike moving into the lane of National Highway 14. After that, the passenger car overturned next to the edge of National Highway 14.
The accident injured 18 people and had to be hospitalized, many of whom were found to have broken arms and legs... Particularly the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries.
