On March 24, representatives of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) said that they had made a record of handling a car with many violations when traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway through Lam Dong province.
During the patrol, functional forces discovered a car with license plate 51M - 864. xx speeding from 10km/h to 20km/h. The working group stopped the vehicle for inspection at Ma Lam intersection.
At the time of inspection, the driver presented papers in the name of N.X. L (born 1998, residing in Ho Chi Minh City). Through inspection, functional forces determined that the vehicle did not have a certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection, and also did not have a vehicle registration certificate as prescribed.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 made a record of administrative violation against the driver for 3 acts including: Speeding; driving a vehicle without an inspection certificate; driving a vehicle without a registration certificate.
For the above violations, the driver was fined a total of 12.5 million VND and had his driver's license points deducted according to the provisions of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. The violating vehicle was temporarily detained for 7 days.
Along with that, vehicle owners who are businesses are also recorded and administratively sanctioned.
The vehicle owner was determined to have committed 2 violations including: Bringing a vehicle without a vehicle registration certificate to participate in traffic; bringing a motor vehicle without a inspection certificate to participate in traffic.
For these violations, vehicle owners are fined 56 million VND. The total penalty for both drivers and vehicle owners is 68.5 million VND.
