On February 13, the Vietnamese shooting team competed in the final event at the tournament, the men's 25m revolver pistol.
On the competition day, we have 3 top faces participating in the competition: Ha Minh Thanh, Pham Quang Huy and Phan Cong Minh.
The shooters participated in the individual qualifying round with the most focused efforts. Shooter Ha Minh Thanh is the face with the best results of the Vietnamese shooting team when shooting individually, achieving 564 points. Ha Minh Thanh ranked 5th individually, not having enough opportunities to compete for medals.
Meanwhile, shooter Pham Quang Huy achieved 561 points after the shots, ranking 6th, while Phan Cong Minh ranked 8th with a score of 546 points.
The Vietnamese shooting team did not have individual results in the shooting test, however, we still won the team runner-up title. In the end, the Vietnamese shooter won a silver medal in the men's 25m revolver pistol team with a score of 1672 points. The champion is India with a result of 1743 points.
The silver medal on February 13th of the men's shooters in the men's 25m revolver pistol team event is the final medal achievement of the Vietnamese shooting team in India this year.
Throughout the tournament, the Vietnamese shooting team won 1 gold medal from shooter Nguyen Thuy Trang in the women's individual 25m sports pistol event.
We also have silver medals in the women's 10m pistol team event, the men's 25m standard pistol team event, and the men's 25m revolver pistol team event.
Vietnamese shooters also won bronze medals in the women's 25m sports pistol team event, men's 50m pistol team event, and men's 25m rapid fire pistol team event.
The 2026 Asian Handgun and Rifle Championship is the first international competition program of the Vietnamese shooting team in 2026.
