On March 22, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) said that during patrols on highways through Lam Dong, functional forces regularly discovered broken tire fragments and objects scattered on the road surface.
Traffic police warn that on the highway, even a small obstacle can become a "trap", causing vehicles to lose control, leading to serious collisions.
Reality on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay routes shows that many sections have broken tire fragments scattered.

The main cause was that the vehicle had a tire burst while traveling at high speed. After the incident, some drivers actively stopped their vehicles, called for rescue, replaced tires and cleaned up the scene.
However, there are still cases of abandoning tire fragments on the road, posing a potential risk of unsafety for vehicles behind.
Tire fragments when run over can cause the car to lose control, especially at high speeds, easily leading to chain collisions, directly threatening traffic safety on the highway.
Over the past time, the Traffic Police force in coordination with the expressway's operating and maintenance unit has repeatedly stopped vehicles and collected broken tire fragments to ensure safety.

Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 recommends that before entering the highway, drivers should carefully check the tire condition such as wear, cracks, pressure; use tires of clear origin; do not carry overload or exceed the prescribed number of people.
When unfortunately a tire explodes, drivers need to stay calm, hold the steering wheel firmly, slowly release the throttle, do not brake suddenly; move the car into the emergency stop lane, turn on warning lights, place warning signs at least 150m away from the car and contact support forces.
Do not continue moving when the tires are seriously damaged to avoid unsafety.
