Golfers of the Southern and Northern Teams were present in Phu Tho to get acquainted with the court before officially competing.
The competition program will be held from March 12 to March 14 on Thanh Lanh golf course (Phu Tho). The Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) said that Thanh Lanh golf course (Phu Tho) is designed with par-72 standards and a total length of 7, 121 yards.
This will be an ideal competition venue, promising to bring attractive tactical competitions. The golf course has characteristic terrain characteristics, green speed and the arrangement of holes is a problem for golfers of the Southern and Northern Teams to carefully calculate before each shot.
The organizers have announced the official schedule of the 2026 Team Golf Tournament - VGA Union Cup 2026. On March 12, golfers of the 2 teams will compete in the foursomes format. Next, in the 2nd match, the 2 teams will compete in the four-ball format.
On the following day, the 2 teams will continue to play four-ball and foursomes. On the last day, in the 5th match, the 2 teams will play individual matches with 12 matches starting at tee time at tee number 1.
Currently, the Southern team and the Northern team are arranged to train to get used to the climate and terrain to be ready for the opening day.
Currently, the Southern team is leading 3-2 against the Northern team after 5 tournaments organized. The team-side golf tournament - VGA Union Cup has returned after 3 years of interruption.
