The VGA Junior Tour 2026 Youth Golf Tournament system will officially enter competition in March.
Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club (Phu Tho) is chosen as the venue for competition.
Male and female golfers participating in the first leg of the tournament will compete from March 6th to 8th. 3. In this tournament, young golfers nationwide are allowed to register to participate according to age groups including U9, U11, U13, U15, U18 and U21.
Golfers who are young amateur male and female athletes under the Amateur Status Act regulated by R&A Rules Limited and USGA are eligible to compete.
In the tournament, the U21, U18, U15, U13 groups compete in a stick-to-stick format through 3 rounds, each round 18 holes to select the first-placed player. The tournament does not carry out cut-offs.
The U11 and U9 groups will be held in a stick-to-stick format in 2 rounds, each round 18 holes. The U9 group will apply a maximum point per hole of quadruple bogey (+4 sticks per hole). The athlete with the lowest actual point (gross) in each group will be awarded the championship.
Also during the first leg of the VGA Junior Tour 2026 Youth Golf Tournament, the Vietnam Golf Association will organize a seminar on the roadmap for developing Vietnamese youth golf in the new phase.
It is expected that the Seminar will attract many experts, managers and golf coaches and athletes to participate. The program is expected to be held in the afternoon of March 7.
