The Southern golf team has selected 20 golfers ready to participate in the 2026 Team Battle Tournament - VGA Union Cup 2026, expected to be held from March 12 to March 14 at Thanh Lanh golf course (Phu Tho).
The list of golfers of the Southern Team includes: Mai Duc Thuy, Nguyen Van Thuat, Nguyen Hoai Nam, Nguyen Van Thong, Duong Quoc Tuynh, Le Bach Viet, Pham Quoc Phuong, Le Hong Phong, Luu Van Sang, Mai Trong Luu, Nguyen Tien Manh, Nong Trung Hieu, Hoang Ngoc Quy, Nguyen Quoc Tinh, Huynh Quang Duc, Nguyen Tuan Viet, Bui Nhat Truong, Le Dinh Anh, Le Quy An Duy and Abra Hoang.
Directing the Southern Golf Team to compete will be captain Tran Thanh Tu and vice-captains Tran Anh Linh, Dinh Viet Sinh.
Previously, to prepare for VGA Union Cup 2026, the Northern Golf Team announced the list of 16 golfers who will participate in the tournament.
Among them, 12 people registered officially, 4 reserve golfers. The Northern golf team chose golfer Duong Manh Tien as captain and 2 vice-captains as golfers Tran The Cuong, Bui Manh Cuong.
Up to this point, the VGA Union Cup tournament has been held 5 times in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. The Southern and Northern golf teams have competed through the above tournaments.
Currently, the Southern Golf Team holds the lead 3-2 against the Northern Team. This is a tournament organized by the Vietnam Golf Association.
