The final round, the deciding round of the 2026 Team Golf Championship – VGA Union Cup 2026 has been closed at Thanh Lanh golf course (Phu Tho) on March 14.
In the final round, the Northern and Southern golf teams competed in 12 single matches to decide the overall result.
Accordingly, the matches took place in turn between golfers Le Hung Nam (Northern team) - Mai Duc Thuy (South team), Bui Manh Cuong (Northern team) - Nguyen Tien Manh (South team), Ha Ngoc Hoang Loc (Northern team) - Hoang Ngoc Quy (South team), Nguyen Van Long (Northern team) - Nong Trung Hieu (South team), Au Van Son (Northern team) - Duong Quoc Tuynh (South team), Nguyen Xuan Hong (Northern team) - Mai Trong Luu (South team), Pham Minh Phong (Northern team) - Nguyen Hoai Nam (South team), Luu Dinh Hung (Northern team) - Nguyen Tuan Viet (South team), Tran Dieu Tuan (Northern team) - Huynh Quang Duc (South team), Do Quang Khanh (Northern team) - Nguyen Van Thuat (South team), Do Anh Duc (Northern team) - Le Quy An Duy (South team) and Doan Van Nam (Northern team) - Pham Quoc Phuong (South team).
In this match, golfer Nguyen Van Long was the one who created a smooth start and won against Nong Trung Hieu, bringing an advantage to the Northern Golf Team.
The matches continued to be exciting with fierce competition. In the final single match, golfer Do Quang Khanh drew against Nguyen Van Thuat.
Closing 3 rounds, the Northern golf team won against the Southern team with a score of 14.5-13.5.
The narrow victory helped the Northern Golf Team win the championship. The last time the Northern Golf Team won at the VGA Union Cup was in 2017.
Through 6 tournaments organized by the Vietnam Golf Association, the Northern and Southern Golf Teams are maintaining a balanced result with a score of 3-3.
