The President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has decided to award the Labor Medal to many coaches and athletes who achieved results at the 2025 Asian Youth Games. Golfer Nguyen Tuan Anh is one of the people named.
Decision issued on February 12. In which, weightlifter Nguyen Thanh Duy was awarded the Second-class Labor Medal for his achievement of winning a gold medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Games.
Athletes Y Lien (weightlifting), Bui Tuan Tu (athletics), Bui Ngoc Thao Thom (wrestling), Hoang Thi Thu Huyen (taekwondo), Nguyen Tuan Anh (golf), Doan Uy (golf) and Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong (muay).
The achievements of Nguyen Tuan Anh and Doan Uy are assessed as bringing a historical mark to Vietnamese golf in the Asian Youth Games arena. In last year's competition, Nguyen Tuan Anh won a silver individual medal.
This golfer and Doan Uy won a team silver medal. For the first time, Vietnamese golf won a medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Games. This year, golf is not included in the 2026 Youth Olympic competition program. Therefore, Nguyen Tuan Anh does not have the opportunity to go to Senegal to participate in the 2026 Youth Olympics.
Nguyen Tuan Anh has risen 1 place to rank 148th in the world amateur men's golf rankings. In the Trang An - AJGA International Pathway Series 2026 tournament recently in Ninh Binh, Nguyen Tuan Anh won the men's individual runner-up title.
In 2025, Tuan Anh won a men's team bronze medal at SEA Games 33 and the national golf championship.
