On October 17, in Hanoi, Giao Thong Newspaper held a press conference to introduce the 5th golf tournament for traffic safety in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga - Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper said: "Continuing the success of the past 4 seasons, we continue to organize the 5th tournament in 2024 at Hoang Gia Stadium, Ninh Binh. All sponsorship and support money from organizations, individuals, businesses and golfers after deducting expenses will be transferred by the organizing committee to the Joining Hands for Traffic Safety program.
The organizers try to save the most on organization costs to have more funds for charity activities, putting charity goals first."
According to Ms. Nga, since launching the program Joining hands for traffic safety in 2013, up to now, Giao thong Newspaper has organized hundreds of charity plans, awarded thousands of gifts and 300 scholarships, built many charity houses and rural traffic bridges with a total value of tens of billions of VND.

The 2024 Join Hands for Traffic Safety Golf Tournament will take place on November 3 in Ninh Binh, gathering about 220 golfers, divided into 3 groups, competing in 18-hole stroke play according to R&A rules and the course's own rules recorded on the scorecard or the course's notice board. Points are calculated according to HDC day (System 36).
In particular, this year, the organizers will invite a number of famous amateur and professional athletes, the Vietnam Golf Association, etc. to help spread the tournament's brand and increase the motivation for golfers to compete.
Regarding the prize structure, the total prize value is estimated to be nearly 3 billion VND. Of which, there are 8 HIO prizes including two Hyundai Santafe and Hyundai Tucson cars; golf trips to Japan for 2 people; 100 million VND in cash and many gifts.
According to information from the organizing committee, at the award gala, there will be an auction of attractive artifacts to raise funds for the program Joining hands for traffic safety.
