Hai Phong - On September 16, Phu Lien ward organized the inauguration of the "Great Unity" house for 2 households in difficult circumstances in the area.

The Fund Mobilization Board "For the Poor" of Phu Lien ward organized the inauguration of the "Great Unity" house for the family of Ms. Pham Thi Nhun (Phu Luu residential group) and the family of Mr. Vu Van Tan (Dong Tu residential group). These are 2 households in difficult circumstances, who will be supported to build houses in 2026.

Accordingly, Ms. Pham Thi Nhun's family is a near-poor household in Phu Luu residential group, with particularly difficult circumstances. She is old, lives alone, and suffers from a serious illness. Her income depends on the State's monthly allowance. The old house was built a long time ago, has seriously deteriorated, and is not safe in daily life.

After nearly 2 months of construction, the new house has been completed. The house has an area of 30 m2, ensuring solidness, suitable for the family's usage conditions. In which, the "For the Poor" Fund of the ward supported 80 million VND, Buddhist family Bui Manh Chuong supported 100 million VND, and Vietnam Construction Design and Investment Development Consulting Joint Stock Company supported the construction.

Mr. Vu Van Tan's family in Dong Tu residential group is a near-poor household, with 7 people. Mr. and Mrs. Tan do not have stable jobs but are still the main laborers in the family, and at the same time take care of their elderly father and children and 4 young grandchildren who are still in school. The family lives in a cramped house that has been built for a long time, with cracked walls, subsided floors, and serious degradation, no longer ensuring safety.

Based on actual surveys, Mr. Tan's family's new house is built as a level 4 house, with corrugated iron roof, total floor area of 55 m2, total cost of 500 million VND. Of which, the "For the Poor" Fund of the ward supported 80 million VND. The rest is mobilized by the family from relatives and family. The project was implemented according to plan, ensuring quality and progress and has been completed and put into use.

The two "Great Unity" houses completed and put into use contribute to helping families have a safer and more stable place to live. Thereby, promoting the role of the "For the Poor" Fund and the joint efforts of organizations, units, philanthropists, Party committees, authorities and people in caring for the lives of households in difficult circumstances in the ward.
