During the Binh Ngo Tet holiday, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City implemented a program to care for the poor, near-poor households and disadvantaged people with a total budget of more than 10 billion VND. Resources are deducted from the Fund for the Poor, to ensure that people have conditions to celebrate Tet warmly and fully.
The above information was released at the conference summarizing the activities of the Fund for the Poor, disaster relief in 2025; deploying tasks for 2026 and taking care of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on the morning of January 27.
In 2025, the City's Relief Mobilization Committee received and managed relief funds of over 196 billion VND and foreign currency. From this source, more than 154 billion VND was allocated to localities and units to serve people's support. In parallel, the work of receiving relief goods reached about 330 tons, most of which have been transferred to disaster-affected areas, ensuring timeliness and suitability.
For the Fund for the Poor, the total received resources reached more than 67 billion VND, including the transferred balance and new mobilized funds. The city has allocated 15 billion VND to directly support poor, near-poor and particularly difficult households, focusing on essential needs and supporting livelihoods.
City leaders assessed that the work of caring for the poor in the past time has achieved many positive results, creating a spread in the community. However, along with material support, it is necessary to innovate approaches, encourage difficult households to proactively rise up, and effectively use support sources to escape poverty sustainably.
In the coming time, the City Front will continue to be proactive in mobilizing, receiving and allocating relief when natural disasters and incidents occur. The implementation is carried out publicly, transparently, and for the right people. Specifically, during the Binh Ngo Tet holiday, more than 10,000 gifts will be handed directly to people, contributing to ensuring social security and stabilizing life in the city.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
