In the afternoon of March 26, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province organized an online conference with the western bridge point of the province at Ngoc Linh hall, summarizing the Front's work participating in the 16th National Assembly election and People's Council delegates at all levels, term 2026 - 2031.
After more than 4 months of urgent and synchronous deployment, the election in the province took place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely, economically and truly became a festival for the whole people.
The whole province had more than 1.43 million voters participating in voting, reaching about 99.84%; elected 11 National Assembly deputies, 66 Provincial People's Council deputies and 1,981 Commune-level People's Council deputies. The structure and composition of deputies reflect the widespread representation of the people; the quality of deputies has been improved; the proportion of female, ethnic minority, young, re-elected deputies, and their qualifications are equal to or higher than the previous term.
In the election, the Front at all levels promoted its leading role in organizing consultations, introducing candidates to ensure the correct structure, composition, and standards according to regulations. The consultation process was implemented democratically, closely, and in accordance with the law, contributing to selecting people with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige to participate in the election.
The organization of voter conferences at workplaces and residences is carried out seriously, with a high approval rating, many cases reaching 100%. Voter contact activities and election campaigns are organized widely, with thousands of conferences, attracting a large number of voters to participate, creating conditions for candidates to present action programs and listen to people's opinions.
The Fatherland Front at all levels has actively participated in comprehensive inspection and supervision of all stages of the election; promptly detected and rectified shortcomings, contributing to ensuring that the election process took place in accordance with regulations. Propaganda work was deployed diversely and widely spread, contributing to raising voters' awareness and responsibility.
On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 collectives and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026 - 2031.
According to the announcement of the National Election Council, the results of being elected as National Assembly deputies of the 16th term of Quang Ngai province are 11 deputies.
