On the afternoon of March 26, in Hanoi, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command organized a Conference to award Decisions and assign tasks to Deputy Attached Defense, in charge of the Border Guard field in China, Laos, and Cambodia.
At the conference, Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard Command, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command, presented Decisions to appoint personnel: Senior Colonel Duong Khanh Thanh, Deputy Attaché of Vietnamese National Defense in China, in charge of the Border Guard field; Senior Colonel Tran Tri Thien, Deputy Attaché of Vietnamese National Defense in Laos, in charge of the Border Guard field; Lieutenant Colonel Le Dang, Deputy Attaché of Vietnamese National Defense in Cambodia, in charge of the Border Guard field.

Speaking to assign tasks, Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien congratulated personnel who were trusted by the Party, State, Army, and Border Guards to be assigned the task of Deputy Attaché of National Defense in charge of the Border Guard sector in China, Laos, and Cambodia.
Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien emphasized that this is the first time the Border Guard force has a Deputy Attaché of National Defense in charge of the Border Guard field, so it is of particular importance, associated with the 67th anniversary of the Border Guard Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2026) and the 37th anniversary of the All-People Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2026).
Affirming the position and role of defense foreign affairs work, Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien clearly stated that this is one of the important pillars in the overall foreign affairs activities of the Party and the State; is a bridge to strengthen understanding, build trust, promote international cooperation, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, creating favorable conditions for national development.
For the Border Guard, Border Guard foreign affairs work has direct significance in building borders of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation and development with neighboring countries.

To successfully complete the task, the Commander of the Border Guard Command requests Deputy Defense Attachés to quickly adapt to the working environment, proactively research and firmly grasp the situation, laws and customs of the host country; constantly learn and improve their qualifications, especially foreign languages and foreign affairs skills; promote political bravery, qualities, and working style, building the image of regular and professional Border Guard officers in the international environment.
In his working position, each comrade needs to promote the role of a bridge, a "messager" contributing to consolidating and strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and other countries, promoting the effectiveness of defense foreign affairs and border guard foreign affairs" - Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien emphasized.
Expressing their honor at being assigned the task, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Duong Khanh Thanh, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Tri Thien and Lieutenant Colonel Le Dang affirmed that they will quickly adapt to the working environment, actively study, improve their qualifications, especially foreign languages and foreign affairs skills.
The personnel also expressed their determination to proactively grasp the situation, promote the role of a bridge, contribute to strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
