Ministry of Education and Training awards certificates of merit to students who rushed into a fire to save people

Nguyen Le Tu - a student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, who rushed into the fire that occurred in Linh Nam (Hanoi) - to save people was awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training.

On March 26, Acting Minister of Education and Training (MOET) Hoang Minh Son signed Decision No. 701/QD-BGDDT on awarding Certificates of Merit to student Nguyen Le Tu, Physics class 08-K69, Faculty of Technical Physics, Hanoi University of Science and Technology for his courageous act of saving people.

Previously, on the evening of March 24, in alley 218 Linh Nam street (Hanoi), Nguyen Le Tu - a second-year student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology - and Mr. Nguyen Tien Long, regardless of danger, rushed into the fire, broke the corrugated iron roof to promptly approach and rescue people trapped inside. The quick-witted and courageous actions of the two officers contributed to limiting damage and protecting the safety of people's lives.

On the afternoon of March 26, authorized by Acting Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son, Mr. Nguyen Xuan An Viet - Deputy Director of the Department of Students - visited, encouraged, acknowledged and praised the courageous spirit of student Nguyen Le Tu.

At the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training acknowledged and highly appreciated the timely and responsible actions of students, and affirmed that this is a typical example, spreading profound humanistic values in the student community nationwide.

According to representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, Nguyen Le Tu's courageous action not only shows the bravery and compassion of youth, but also contributes to affirming the effectiveness of moral education, lifestyle and skills in schools. This is also a vivid proof of training a generation of students who are not only good at their profession but also have social responsibility.

From this reality, the Ministry of Education and Training proposes that higher education institutions continue to strengthen the education of life ideals, ethics and skills for students; pay attention to training skills in escape, rescue, and emergency response. At the same time, promptly detect, commend and replicate positive examples, contributing to building a healthy and humane educational environment.
