On May 5, leaders of Phu Thuy ward (Lam Dong province) and National Assembly deputies of the province visited and presented financial support to the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Tu (resident of Phu Hai Quarter 5, Phu Thuy ward) whose fishing boat caught fire on April 15.

At the visit, the working delegation encouraged and shared difficulties with Mr. Tu's family when the fishing boat was burned down, with estimated damage of about 5 billion VND. The incident put the family in difficult circumstances, greatly affecting livelihoods.
In order to help the family soon stabilize their lives and restore production, the delegation transferred 15 million VND from the Relief Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Lam Dong province.

On this occasion, National Assembly deputies of the province also recorded the reality of fishermen's lives, thereby having more grounds for recommendations and proposals to build policies to support fishermen in the future.
Previously, immediately after the fishing boat fire on April 15, leaders of Phu Thuy ward and representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front ward visited and supported Mr. Tu's family with 10 million VND.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Thuy ward also launched a call for organizations and individuals to join hands to support. Up to now, the amount of money mobilized is nearly 100 million VND, contributing to helping the family overcome immediate difficulties.
