Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, President of the City Labor Federation - attended and directed the conference.
Over the past 5 years, emulation movements in the area have created comprehensive changes, aroused the strength of the entire people, contributed to socio-economic development, maintained national defense and security, improved life and strengthened people's trust in the leadership of the Party.
Over 97% of households have achieved cultural families, 21/21 hamlets and 100% of agencies and units have met cultural standards; education maintains a primary and secondary school graduation rate of over 95%. People donated 30,000 m2 of land, hundreds of thousands of working days, contributing tens of billions of VND to build new rural areas. Social security work has received attention and mobilized the "For the Poor" Fund for over 3 billion VND, built new and repaired 115 houses worth nearly 5.6 billion VND, and mobilized more than 10 billion VND to take care of policies and people with meritorious services.
Associations and unions have launched many practical models such as the Women's Union with "5 no's, 3 clean", " Godmother". The Farmers' Association supported more than 110 billion VND in capital, many production models for income of 1 - 2 billion VND; the Veterans Association maintained 57 economic models, creating jobs for hundreds of workers.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai praised and highly appreciated the efforts, hard work and proud results that the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Huu commune have achieved in the past 5 years.
Ms. Mai suggested that the Fatherland Front and commune organizations continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, associated with digital transformation. Promote the role of national unity; organize practical emulation movements, fair and timely rewards; propagate and replicate advanced models and link emulation movements with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Strengthen the leadership and coordination of the political system, promote the role of supervision and social criticism, contributing to building a strong Party and government.
At the conference, delegates presented presentations; launched a patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030. Rewarding 7 collectives and 50 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2020 - 2025.
On this occasion, the locality also launched the "Millionaire Club" model with 50 members, each year the income increased by 500 million.
