On the afternoon of July 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province held talks with the working delegation of the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Champasak province (Lao People's Democratic Republic) to strengthen cooperative relations and strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two localities.
At the talks, the two sides informed about the socio-economic situation and the results of the Front's activities in each locality. At the same time, they shared experiences in gathering and mobilizing people from all walks of life, building the great national unity bloc and promoting the role of the Front in building the Party and building the government.
The two sides also exchanged solutions to implement ethnic and religious affairs; promote the role of prestigious people in the community; mobilize resources to care for social security and ensure the people's right to mastery.
At the talks, the two sides agreed to continue to strengthen delegation exchanges, share information and experience in Front work; and expand people-to-people exchange activities. Thereby, creating conditions for mass organizations, friendship organizations and representatives of people from all walks of life of the two provinces to strengthen meetings, understanding, and mutual support, contributing to consolidating the solidarity and friendship between Lam Dong and Champasak.
One of the contents of particular concern to the two sides is to promote propaganda and education for the young generation about the tradition of special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. The two sides agreed to strengthen activities to help today's and future generations understand the historical value, meaning as well as the responsibility to preserve and promote the faithful and steadfast friendship between the two countries.
In addition, the two sides proposed to study organizing cultural exchange activities, tourism promotion, trade promotion and introduction of typical products of each locality. This is expected to create more practical cooperation opportunities between people, businesses and organizations of the two provinces.
Speaking at the talks, Mr. Pham Trieu - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province - affirmed that the unit is always ready to closely coordinate with the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Champasak province to concretize the exchanged contents into practical programs and activities suitable to the actual conditions of each party.
Mr. Pham Trieu expressed his belief that, with the affection, trust and special solidarity tradition between the two peoples, the relationship between Lam Dong province and Champasak province in general, and between the Fatherland Fronts of the two localities in particular, will continue to be consolidated, expanded and developed more and more sustainably.
Ms. Vadsana Silima - Chairwoman of the Lao Front for National Construction of Champasak province - wished that the two sides would continue to maintain delegation exchanges, expand cooperation in many fields, contributing to preserving and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the new period.
