On July 27, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) of Vung Tau ward (HCMC) said that they had just coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment to organize a launching ceremony to implement the "Great Unity Garden" project in the Con Heo Hill area (alley 220 Phan Chu Trinh street upwards).
This is a practical activity in response to the movement "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam", and also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh.
According to Mr. Vu Dang Khoa - Chairman of Vung Tau Ward VFF Committee, the construction of the "Great Unity Garden" not only contributes to improving the environment and creating green spaces to serve the community, but also demonstrates the core role of the Fatherland Front in gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc to participate in environmental protection.
Through this, the VFF Committee of Vung Tau ward called on each official, party member, union member, association member and each citizen to continue to spread the spirit of "Each person one tree - Each house one green area", together taking care of and preserving ecological spaces in the area to promote long-term values.
It is known that Doi Con Heo is a small hill next to a mountainside in Vung Tau, attracting tourists to check-in with cliffs and a beautiful view of the beach. This place is quite barren, with only some wild grass growing. The launch of building a garden in this area will contribute to creating a green space and shade for the destination in the near future.
Along with the Con Heo Hill area, the model "Vung Tau with myriad colors of flowers" is also being implemented by the VFFC of Vung Tau ward in Ao Ca park (Phan Chu Trinh - Vo Thi Sau intersection), using flowers suitable for the landscape, aiming to form urban highlights, and replicated on roads and residential areas in Vung Tau ward.
Through the above activities, it will contribute to environmental protection in the area, spreading the message of community responsibility to nature. Each green tree planted today will continue to be cared for and preserved to become "Great Solidarity Gardens", contributing to building green spaces in Vung Tau city.
